Leading NZ artists feature in Bone Marrow Cancer Trust art exhibition
About 40 artists from
around New Zealand and up to 300 works will make up the Bone
Marrow Cancer Trust art exhibition next month.
The event will be held at Rick Armstrong Prestige Motors’ showrooms in Christchurch on August 9, from 4pm.
Among the noted New Zealand artists taking part are Sam Mahon, Clark Esplin, Robert McDowell, Lisa Wisse, Lisa Ferguson, Phillip Beadle and John Gillies.
Christchurch born and bred Ferguson recently returned from two successful years in New York. Bill and Hilary Clinton attended her solo show in New York. She has exhibited and sold worldwide.
Organiser Cilla
Glasson said she hoped the event would raise more than
$25,000.
Proceeds will go towards the running of Ranui
House in association with the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust which
accommodates patients and families from the South island.
The trust was established in 1990 to raise funds to help build a bone marrow transplant unit at Christchurch Hospital and to build and run an accommodation facility nearby.
