To Invest In Positive Thinking
Thinking petrol, food, mortgage repayments? Many are, and many are demanding higher wages to meet living costs.
According to Charlotte Squire, owner of New Zealand's positive news ezine – Happyzine - now is the time for employers to invest in the enormous power of positive thinking – for their staff.
Squire, who started New Zealand's positive news electronic magazine three months ago in response to what she calls "the mainstream media's interesting choice of news", says that although it's easy to get swept up in today's headlines, it's important for people to keep their feet on the ground and remember they still do hold the key to how happy they are in life.
"Our thoughts, to a large extent, determine our health – emotionally and physically, once reason being that the more relaxed and happy we feel, the stronger our immune systems. It's a well known fact that optimists perform better in the workplace, in fact in some areas people are made to take 'optimism tests' before they're employed. Just look at successful salespeople for example, the determined ones refuse to give up, they try and try and they get the results."
Squire says that Happyzine is designed to take a mere fifteen minutes to read and is jam packed full of inspiring stories, ideas, comments and advice from leading life-coaches and mentors.
"The feedback I've had since the launch of Happyzine has been amazing, people feel the benefits of feeding their minds with good-news."
