Team Leads Classification Going Into Round 4

Subway® Cycling Team Leads The Team Classification Going Into Round 4 Of Benchmark Homes Tour
Seven riders from the SUBWAY® Cycling Team will compete this Sunday 11 May in Round Four of the prestigious eight-round Benchmark Homes Tour – a series regarded as New Zealand’s premier road cycling competition which promotes sponsored teams-based racing.
SUBWAY® rider Tom Findlay (Palmerston North) currently sits third overall in the points standing and leads the Under 23 classification. The team leads the Team classification.
Former Junior Road World Champion and SUBWAY® rider Jeremy Yates (Hastings) will start the event as joint favourite. Findlay and Yates will be backed by a strong team that includes Jason Christie (Ashburton), Myron Simpson (Auckland) and Ruaraidh McLeod (Christchurch), and brothers James and Patrick Williamson (both Alexandra).
The 133km Ocean Ridge Bicycle Classic will start at Hamner Springs and follow the Inland Route to Kaikoura. The scenic course will feature numerous short sharp climbs punctuated by breathtaking descents. A field in excess of 100 athletes is expected.
