Fair trade!
Fair trade pays producers and
workers fair prices for their work, helping them gain the
skills and knowledge they need to develop their businesses
and operate in the global economy, while challenging unfair
trading practices. It is about providing a fair go, not
charity. Fair trade is the trading model for a fairer world.
It seeks to equalise the balance of power and to provide a
platform where trading relationships can benefit all those
in the supply chain. A win-win situation for all involved.
Fair Trade Fortnight is a great time to learn more about
fair trade. Support fair trade activities by attending any
of the events listed in this calendar and buy fair trade
products – the positive alternative. For more information
