Elizabeth to Feature on Album With Dame Kiri
BEAUTIFUL New Zealand singer Elizabeth Marvelly will appear on the same album as Kiwi opera great Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
Elizabeth’s song Love Can Build A Bridge has been selected for a new compilation album "Morning Has Broken". The album features two of Dame Kiri’s songs O Mio Babbino Caro and The World In Union.
Some of the world’s biggest recording artists also appear on the album to be released in the UK on Monday.
Pavarotti, Eva Cassidy, Sarah Brightman, Alfie Boe, Paul McCartney and Nigel Kennedy are among the stars on the album.
“I am thrilled that EMI has considered me for this album,” says the 18-year-old Rotorua star whose self-titled debut album was released in December and shipped gold in less than a week. Love Can Build A Bridge features on this album.
“It is a dream to feature among artists of this calibre.”
Elizabeth’s singing talent continues to be in great demand, with several high profile gigs coming up in the next month. She will perform on Dancing With The Stars on March 25 and begin touring with Britain’s Got Talent phenomenon Paul Potts on April 16. This tour will take her to Christchurch, Wellington, Rotorua and Auckland as well as Australia’s major cities, a highlight being a performance at the Sydney Opera House.
She will also perform with Dame Malvina Major in Whakane on March 15, the Telstra Events Centre in Manukau City on March 29 and at the 3 Divas concert in Tauranga on March 30.
