All Go, Rain Or Shine At Best Ever Devonport Food, Wine & Music Festival
The weather won’t stop the festivities at the 19th Devonport Food, Wine & Music Festival this weekend. The charity event will go ahead rain or shine with the best entertainment line-up in its 19 year history.
Ticket pre-sales for the weekend are already more than double last year’s amount and it’s hoped the anticipated sell out on Saturday will still be reached despite the weather.
The Devonport Food, Wine & Music Festival is close to having raised $2m for local and national charities since the Rotary Club of Devonport started it 19 years ago. This year the main recipient of funds is Youthline.
Event organiser Kathy Cunningham says “It will take much more than a shower of rain to stop the enjoyment of the great bands and superb food and wine. Hollie Smith, Greg Johnson, Nesian Mystik, The Electric Confectionaires and all the others are raring to go. Auckland is used to having the four seasons in one day. Just bring the right clothing and nothing will stop you from having an amazing day at Devonport”.
Limited tickets available. Proceeds to charity.
