Musical comedy hits strange places at Fringe

Attacking the stage with a harnessed unpredictability, Dash Ambrose takes Musical Comedy to a strange new place.

This year Dash Ambrose takes Musical Comedy to Fringe 08 in Wellington. After a successful season at the NZ International Comedy Festival last May, Dash Ambrose brings their show to Wellington for the first time. With songs that range from riding elevators to battles between mythical beasts, they are rarely uninteresting.

“We had a great time at the NZ International Festival,” band member Dave Wiggins says. “The highlight had to be the spontaneous encore we received. Luckily we had a few more songs that we hadn’t performed that night. I can only imagine coming on to do an encore with no more songs. However, we are prepared this time. We have been working on some Fall Out Boy covers.”

Dash Ambrose performs at the Bluenote Bar, in the last week of the festival from February 26 – March 1. This fresh intimate venue will give you a great seat to enjoy some loose and laid back musical comedy.
