With what is fast becoming an institution for the New Zealand Fringe Festival, Wellington artist Paul Forrest is back
with his uniquely-captivating peek into the life of a living, breathing and – yes, that's right – working artist.
Paul Forrest thrives on being an exhibitionist at his exhibitions – how rare is it to actually meet an artist in the
process of creating works? Paul's Fringe exhibitions have become the Wellington art scene's own version of The Naked
Chef.
This year, Paul steps beyond the comfort of his Newtown studio to transform the Michael Fowler Centre foyer into a
colour-filled painting studio and gallery. On show will be 30 new oil paintings from his 2007 and early 2008 series.
It's a chance to see and interact with one of Wellington's finest artists working on his new creations – you may even
become part of the artistic process yourself!
