Motorsport: People To Watch At Cemetery Circuit 07

People To Watch at Cemetery Circuit '07

Cemetery Circuit '07 is set to be even bigger and better than previous years, on December 26 the racing around the streets of Wanganui, which is sponsored by SsangYong New Zealand and Pirelli Tyres, will not only be televised for screening on TVNZ's Powerbuilt Motorsport, but will be beamed live to the World over the internet. Cemetery Circuit '07 also has it's own website, for supporters to obtain all the appropriate information from: www.speedbox.tv

In the Robert Holden races and Formula Wanganui, we will see the likes of Hamilton's Andrew Stroud (Suzuki), Fielding's Craig Shirriffs (Suzuki) and New Plymouth's Hayden Fitzgerald (Honda) take on Australia's Garth Jones (Yamaha) and the up and coming young Americans Dave Sadowski Jr and brother Matthew, both on Yamahas.

In Supermotards, we will see the return of the hard charging Australian Josh McFarlane and teammate Alex Gobert on factory Aprilias. But they won't have it all their own way with resident riders such as Aucklanders Toby Summers (Yamaha), Stephen Briggs (KTM) and New Plymouth's Mitch Rowe (Yamaha) all out to spoil their fun.

This year's sidecar races will also see some new and famous machinery.

Auckland brothers Chris and Richard Lawrence have a new Yamaha powered rig, while Wanganui's Steve Bron has imported the 2007 LCR from current World Champion Englishman Tim Reeves and sold the ex Stacey Sellar SsangYong LCR to fellow Wanganui racer Leighton Minnell. Minnell will team up with reigning Champion Australian Sellar for Boxing Day. We will also see local racer Adam Unsworth on his Windle.

In the Post Classics we will see local stalwarts Bill James on his Triumph Sparten 750 and Colin Tate Norton Dominator 750
