Heat Like Me are a group of musicians who have blended the latest in 70's synth technology with a infectiously danceable mix of electro, funk, and rock sensibilities in the latest electronica group to come out of New Zealand. The Wellington based group use analogue equipment combined with a fistful of homebrew electronics. Everything is performed live just as you hear on their recordings available on their myspace page. That means no digital samples or watching a DJ press buttons on a laptop, purely live electronica. What do they sound like? Well imagine a big cauldron, and in it are the essences of Depeche Mode, Chromeo, Devo, Justice, Kraftwerk, The Rapture, Soulwax, Duran Duran, The Knife, Blondie, The Faint, and New Order… to name a few. Delicious!
In Christchurch DJ’s Chris Shaw and Andy Pulzar will be turning up the heat and getting the crowd to boiling point before Sneaky Sound System hit the stage! Both accomplished Dj’s they will be dropping the best of the latest tunes guaranteed to set the dance floor alight at The Civic in Christchurch!

Sneaky Sound System have been sizzling on New Zealand radio playlists for ten months now with their infectious song ‘Pictures’ and their latest single ‘UFO’. These guys are hot property and a sold out Auckland show a couple of months ago that was promoted via word of mouth only, proves it!
Sneaky Sound System’s reputation has been built from scorching live shows which they plan to bring back to NZ in December.
Over the past 12 months this Bondi based electro/pop trio have been catapulted from club and festival favourites into an omnipresent platinum selling pop sensation. The trio of Miss Connie (frontwoman/vocals), MC Double D (frontman/man-about-town/MC) and Black Angus (chief songwriter /producer/music guy) led the field in nominations at the 2007 ARIA awards, up in a staggering six categories – the most of any independent artist in ARIA history. Sneaky Sound System walked away with trophies for Breakthrough Artist Album and Best Dance Release. It’s the crowning achievement on an absolutely massive year for the Sneaky crew, their self-titled debut album having achieved sales in excess of 110,000 copies in Australia.
