Red Bull Last Man Standing is back and badder than ever. Enduro riders will return to Texas for the event's third year on December 7-8, at the Red River Motorcycle Trails on the Texas/Oklahoma border in the United States.

New Zealand enduro champion Chris Birch will fly the Kiwi flag in this gruelling 125 km race - described by the competitors themselves as the toughest off-road race in the world. Fresh from a podium finish at Red Bull Romaniacs in June this year, Birch is being heralded as one to watch at Red Bull Last Man Standing 2007 – but the 27 year old engineer from Auckland is taking it all in his stride.

The course, designed to challenge the world’s best riders, will undergo changes for this year’s event. The race will once again consist of two 64km laps, one during the day and one at night, with the night course reversed. And it will again feature special “element” sections that will test riders’ mettle. The course will gradually increase in difficulty this year in an attempt to alleviate rider bottlenecks. In the early stages of the race riders will enter complex terrain, which will become more difficult with every kilometre.

In 2006, the event almost lived up to its name – with only two of the 128 riders finishing both 64 km laps.
