Little Bushman Swing Back In With Album Number 2
& Summer Shows!
Little Bushman are back with their 2nd album, ‘Pendulum’, a musical journey that swings through our past, present & future, with the full band laying down rhythm tracks live to capture that special energy in the same way they did on their ’06 debut ‘The Onus Of Sand’ – & the same way they do when bringing their expansive sound to the stage.
Sonically, ‘Pendulum’ is much broader than ‘The Onus…’, with chief songwriter Warren Maxwell adding Nord keyboard, 12 string & electric guitar, harmonica, saxophones, tambourine & piano, to his usual blend of vocals & Rhodes piano.
Bandmates Joe Callwood add acoustic guitar; Tom Callwood brings violin, cello, electric bass & vocals; while Rick Cranson complements his drum kit with additional percussion & vocals.
The band are playing throughout summer at some stunning locations this year including the Phat 08 (Inangahua West Coast S.I.), Parihaka (Taranaki) and Rippon (Wanaka) as well as a very special run of dates with Don McGlashan and his band (The Seven Sisters) entitled Sunset Sessions. Taking in 5 iconic North Island destinations these shows will be the perfect audio cocktail to the backdrop of lingering sunset evenings and the perfect intimate experience of Little Bushman and their new sounds from ‘Pendulum’’!
