AIG LIFE SEARCHES FOR YOUNG SOCCER STAR
TO WIN ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME MANCHESTER UNITED TRIP

The insurer AIG Life is inviting all young soccer players and fans to enter its national competition to find a young soccer star to win an extraordinary trip to Old Trafford, home to the celebrated Manchester United.

AIG Life CEO David Pierce said, “AIG Life is inviting all New Zealand soccer-lovers aged from 8 to 18, whether players or fans, to visit the Manchester United Young Star competition page at www.aigmu.co.nz, and explain in 100 words or less why they deserve to win.

“With tickets and match-day hospitality only recently becoming available for the 23 December game, eager young soccer-lovers must get in quick. The competition opens for entries from 7pm Monday 12 November, and closes at midday Saturday 17 November.”

Mr Pierce said five finalists will be selected by AIG Life’s judging panel, which includes soccer legend Wynton Rufer. The finalists will be filmed for broadcast on Campbell Live, with New Zealanders asked to visit the AIG Life website between Monday 26 November and Sunday 2 December to vote for their favourite. The winner will be announced by Wednesday 5 December.

Finalists will be required for the filming of a training session with Wynton Rufer on Thursday 22 November. Mr Rufer will lead the trip to Old Trafford between Tuesday 18 and Monday 24 December, with the return flight arriving in Auckland at 11:40pm on Tuesday 25 December.
