Loop News - Diamond Side, Paul McLaney
LOOP is pleased to annouce that Paul McLaney will be releasing his new album titled 'Diamond Side' on 13th November. His second album on LOOP was recorded in LA with legendary producer/engineer Michael Frondelli (Crowded House, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones). "The fundamental aspect of music that I have always shared the greatest affinity with is the human voice and acoustic guitar... the essential purity of one person alone, creating a vivid musical canvas on which to detail their observations and emotional responses is the music I always come back to." says McLaney.
Paul is soon to tour his new album with a traditionally epic trip around New Zealand from Russell in the north to Dunedin in the south. Find out when his tour hits your town here.
Paul was recently nominated for Best Male Vocalist at the New Zealand Music Awards and this album comes as a follow up to his critically acclaimed album 'Edin'.
Paul also has a new music video that you can check out here on Youtube. This video was filmed in Death Valley in the United States and where the temperature was so hot that Paul had to have the soles of his boots resoled after the film shoot due to them burning (no joke).
LOOP presents: Roger Steffens with The Life of Bob Marley.
Almost thirty years after Bob Marley’s one and only visit to this country in 1979, Roger Steffens is bringing his acclaimed “Life Of Bob Marley” show to New Zealand for the very first time.
For years Roger has enthralled audiences with hours of unreleased films and videos and his own unique observations and insights. Roger’s show is packed with some remarkable new footage and of course his own brilliant and highly entertaining personal anecdotes about the reggae singer and freedom fighter for equal rights and justice.
