from the Royal New Zealand ballet took time out with their
friends at Meridian Energy last night – who threw a party
to wish the company well for China tour.

The Royal New Zealand Ballet is doing a three-city tour of China where they will perform Cinderella and the triple bill Trinity. The Company’s first stop will take them to Shanghai International Arts Festival, and then on to perform in Suzhou and Beijing. It is their first China tour since 1985.

CEO Keith Turner said: “I see many benefits for New
Zealand as a whole through the Ballet's China tour and I
hope New Zealand gets to share in their stories from the
tour. As a premiere New Zealand arts organisation, I know
the Company will bring great credit to New Zealand. We’re
so proud of them and wish them well on their tour.”
The pioneering company is performing a repertoire of outstanding dance, for international audiences, whilst continuing to build a style that is ultimately unique to the Company and New Zealand

Also present at the party were the Royal New Zealand Ballet's General Manager Amanda Skoog, artistic director Gary Harris and Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Judith Tizard.
