Radiohead's new album 'In Rainbows' on CD & LP

It’s official: Radiohead have signed to XL Recordings for the physical release of their new album ‘In Rainbows’.

Represented in New Zealand by The Label / Rhythmethod, XL Recordings is already home to The White Stripes, M.I.A, Dizzee Rascal, Devendra Banhart & Basement Jaxx. XL also released Thom Yorke’s 2006 solo album ‘The Eraser’.

‘In Rainbows' was released on October 10 as a download only, with the band allowing fans to name their price. The label will now handle the album’s physical CD release.

"Radiohead are a constant inspiration to us all, because they unfailingly put creativity first. XL is more than honoured to be working with Radiohead," explains XL founder Richard Russell.

"Radiohead have created a huge amount of excitement via the unique way in which they launched this campaign online," says the label's Managing Director Ben Beardsworth. "'In Rainbows' is truly a classic album and it deserves to reach a massive audience, well beyond that of download and box set sales. We will be working closely with them to help deliver that."

Pete Baker, Rhythmethod founder and Managing Director, adds: "Obviously we’re chuffed & honoured to have the opportunity to work with one of the worlds greatest band’s. Congrats must also go to XL for securing this highly anticipated release".

A release date for the CD is yet to be confirmed.
