80% Of Bon Jovi Tickets Gone In First 5 Days
Bon Jovi has already proved not only to be a hit in Christchurch but is attracting a volume of sales from people heading south from Wellington and Nelson but a great exodus from Auckland. Promoter Phil Sprey of Capital C: Concerts said,
“ With low domestic airfares and Auckland Anniversary Day on the same long weekend Jan 27, many people are taking this opportunity to see this great rock band.”
“When we made the call on where the concert would go, we didn’t second guess. Auckland has had a mountain of big acts like Police, Timberlake and Big Day out. Wellington also has a similar line-up and Rugby Sevens ruled it out – Christchurch has responded brilliantly and the Council and V-Base who run AMI Stadium have made our call a very welcome one.”
‘With all the GA standing tickets already sold out only sections of the front section and the main stand now remaining and we are expecting they won’t be around long,” Sprey went on to say, “with other commitments before and after Christchurch there will be no second concerts in the city or anywhere else in NZ.”
Opening the Concert will be Christchurch-based
rockers The Valves.
