MMF 4th Annual Sessions Announced
The NZ Music Managers’ Forum (MMF) is proud to announce the 2007 MMF  October Sessions and annual awards on Sunday 28th October.
The October sessions are a highlight on the music industry calendar providing an unique insight into the New Zealand music industry. They are an educational day for Managers, self managed artists or people wanting to become managers. An informative series of seminars with some of the top players in the music industry will be sharing their invaluable knowledge and offering tips and advice.
Also continuing from last year, will be the unique opportunity of MMF members to personally pitch their artists to one of the organizers of Big Day Out 2008.
Following the seminars will be the fourth annual Music Managers’ Forum Awards.  These awards are voted by industry experts and are given to the best managers and self managed bands from Auckland and out of Auckland, and also the best new managers. This year, thanks to the kind support from Vodafone, Jansons, Juice TV, Groove Guide, BFM and the BNets and Rip It Up, the recipients of the awards will receive a swag of prizes as well as their shining plaque.
The Music Managers’ Forum is a national not-for-profit organisation formed in 2003 for music managers, self-managed artists and anyone with an interest in becoming a manager.  The MMF offers professional development and networking opportunities around the country and is affiliated with the thirteen international MMFs around the world.
The October Sessions will be held on the 27th of October at Winchester Bar on St Benedict’s St, Newton. Free to MMF members. $15.00 for the public session.
