Kaynemaile on display at leading fashion show

PRESS RELEASE 6 September 2007

Kaynemaile on display at leading fashion show

Niche manufacturing company Kaynemaile Limited is showcasing its groundbreaking 3D mesh as a sponsor of tonight's Walk on Earth fashion show in Wellington. Almost 100 square metres of Kaynemaile's award-winning mesh will be used to help create an 'inner earth' atmosphere for the event, including the first ever use of the company's new Greenstone range.

"As a Wellington business it's fitting that we can support an event that highlights the work of the leading fashion designers from the region. It's also a great opportunity to demonstrate the attributes that make Kaynemaile's mesh ideal for architecture and interior design applications," said Kayne Horsham, CEO and inventor of Kaynemaile's mesh.

What makes Kaynemaile's 3D mesh unique is that it is produced using a revolutionary new approach to injection moulding. Its patented, fully automated production process means that the mesh has no individual joins, is lightweight and strong, and can be produced seamlessly to unlimited dimensions.

Kaynemaile began commercial production in early 2007, and the company's 3D mesh has already been recognised internationally. In April it won a prestigious iF Material Award, and last month Kaynemaile was nominated for the Designpreis 2008, the Federal Republic of Germany's official design award.

Guests at Walk on Earth will see Kaynemaile's Water Clear range and the new Greenstone range.

"The colour ranges for our mesh are inspired by the New Zealand environment, making them ideal for Walk on Earth. This is the first time that our Greenstone range will be shown publicly, and with both moving and static displays of Kaynemaile's 3D mesh, the event will dramatically highlight the qualities that make our product world-class," said Mr Horsham.

Walk on Earth will take place at Massey University's Grand Hall on 6 September. Hosted by the Walk On Trust, the event is expected to attract 600 people, and will be supporting the Wellington City Mission's youth programme. To find out more, visit www.walkon.org.nz
