Michael Lett announces a show of new work by Dan Arps, Diena Georgetti, and Mary Teague.
Diena Georgetti’s paintings mess with cubist-ish spatial arrangements of abstract form and colour, taking inspiration from aspirational contemporary post-modern (think Memphis) design and architecture. Diena lives and works in Brisbane.
Mary Teague has made paintings that hang from ropes and combine cast object assemblages in a kind of homely expressionist gesture. Mary lives and works in Sydney.
Dan Arps has made a big sculpture and some paintings. Dan’s activity imbues modernist-y form with the spirit and expression of a slightly wrong new-age sensibility. Dan lives and works in Auckland.
The show opens tomorrow afternoon, and continues until Saturday 1st September.
