Prime Announces New Documentary Lineup
PRIME Television has completed a major deal with Cineflix International Ltd for more than 60 hours of quality documentary programming.
The package includes new series of the internationally successful Mayday, True CSI and Zero Hour as well as the soon-to-be-completed The Real House and Huge Moves.
PRIME Channel Manager Karen Bieleski said “PRIME’s audience has a very keen appetite for quality documentaries, so we are absolutely delighted to have managed to secure this sizeable package of Cineflix’s internationally respected documentary programming.”
Mayday vividly blends human drama with aviation science to investigate different types of catastrophic airplane disasters. The first four series of Mayday have now been licensed for a total of 30 separate territories worldwide.
Zero Hour dramatises the hour leading up to some of the most memorable historical events as they unfold minute by minute. By following various theatres of action as the clock winds down to zero hour, viewers are put right into the moments leading up to major historical events. Unlike most history programming which is done with 20/20 hindsight, Zero Hour aims to let viewers experience history just before it became history.
Huge Moves features teams of movers tackling near impossible feats of engineering as they race to move two monstrous structures. Nothing is off limits – from colossal cathedrals to massive machines and even entire towns. The moves involve mind-boggling engineering and logistical nightmares.
A growing distributor of factual entertainment, Cineflix International is an independent television production company with a growing catalogue of history, science, documentary and lifestyle programs viewed by audiences in more than fifty countries.
