Nuclear Zephyr - Bats, 7 - 11 August

See... nuclear_zephyr_web.pdf

Attached is some information on the play Nuclear Zephyr. The play will run from the 7-11 august with two school matinees.

I have taken 9 actors of different ages and ethnicities to discuss issues of identity, culture, global realities, war, and nuclear war. It is a piece that represents the voice of our youth.

We have spent the last three months looking at different issues and are in full rehearsal swing!! The show is dynamic and unexpected with dance and music taking their themes from Classical Indian and Chinese and our music has been created by Matthew Mitchell currently working and playing in Europe and Hungary. The show is a mixture of classic theatre, interactive, voice and dance.

Sponsored by The Department of Internal Affairs, Save the Children, Creative Communities, Quakers, The Human Rights Commission and The Peace Foundation, it will be an enjoyable and interesting evening!

Our list of guests for the opening night are varied and notable. Some of those who are attending are: The Mayor, Alick Shaw, Sharon Clair, Celia Wade-Brown, Jocelyn Foo, Keith Locke, Rod Alley, Mercy Jumo, Annie Ruth, Rae Julian, Lynn Freeman, Ray Ahipene-Mercer and Marian Hobbs.

Please pass along details to your contacts and we hope to see you there.

And, you can check out my other project the Babel exhibition - http://thebabelproject.org.nz/

Best wishes
