Alt TV Retains 90% of NZ's cool music television market
OO-ER!
Latest ABG Nielsen research shows that Alt TV retains 90% of the cool music television market in New Zealand. The remaining 10% is divided between Juice, MTV and J2.
In fact, Alt TV's audience reach with 15-34 year olds is +165% above other cool or slightly cool music channels combined* and to celebrate Alt is giving New Zealand an opportunity to take over the programming reigns!!!
Throughout July and August, budding music television presenters will be given the chance to audition live on-air as Alt TV seeks a replacement host to fill the void left by Lucy Hunt and her signature 'A-rotate' programme Lucy for Lunch.
As Lucy sets sail for Mother England, Alt TV will open its doors for one hour at midday each Saturday and Sunday for Pitch a Show Idle - a programme whereby Thane Kirby and Bomber will take hopefuls live-to-air with their show ideas.
Alt TV audiences will have the opportunity to vote with their thumbs (txt) and a final decision will be made based on viewer and Alt TV management's opinions.
Live open auditions start at 12 noon on Saturday 21 July and run every Saturday and Sunday until August 12.
The winner will be announced by Craig and Rebecca on The Residents at 7pm on Monday 13 August.
Alt TV studios are located at 171 K'Rd - next to Verona Café. Come in and show us your shtick!
