Vanadis bio:

Vanadis is the duo of Kristin Nielsen (DJ Woosh) and Tim Webb (Webb), both members of the Dunedin's Subz'n'Breakz' Kru (SBK) (www.sbk.co.nz). Having formed just under 2 years ago, Vanadis are quickly establishing themselves in the New Zealand drum n bass scene with their signature deep & musical sound.

Having produced separatley for a number of years they came together to find they shared similar musical tastes; so it seemed like a natural step to begin writing tunes together.

Musicality is very important to Vanadis, taking inspiration from a wide range of musical sources including soul, jazz, funk, latin, hip hop, roots and world music. Vanadis have a number of collaborations underway, including projects with artists such as Agent Alvin, Pacific Heights, Trei, Kali, Mojaz, alongwith vocal tracks featuring Kyla, Beau & Tipani.

Already with solid DJ support from the likes of Sabre, Bachelors of Science, Switch, Jazz Thieves, Patife, Nick D, and Rene Le Prou, aswell as their debut 12" release on TrueTone recordings scheduled for 2007, Vanadis are off to a flying start.

Vanadis provide an energetic DJ set, combining their experience with a passion for getting the crowd moving. Vanadis have played along side the likes of London Elektricty, DJ Zinc, Roni Size, MC Dynamite, Shapeshifter, and Concord Dawn & recently played a series of sets throughout NZ including stop-offs in Auckland, Christchurch & Phat 07 NYE Event.

Vanadis also host one of New Zealand's longest running drum'n'bass radio shows 'Subz'n'Breakz' on Dunedin's B-Net Radio One, which is about to enter its 9th year.
