Silver Ferns Trial Open to Fans
Netball fans will have the opportunity to see New Zealand’s top netball players in action at the Open Silver Ferns trial at ASB Stadium in Kohimarama, Auckland at 11:00am on Sunday 1 July.
The National Selectors will announce the Silver Ferns team to play in the upcoming Fisher & Paykel matches against Jamaica and Australia on Monday 2 July.
The Silver Ferns trial will involve all current Silver Fern squad members and any additional players to be invited by National Selectors to trial. These players will be named on Saturday 23 June.
Silver Ferns Coach Ruth Aitken says the trials are an excellent opportunity to see players in a variety of positions and combinations.
“It gives players on the fringe of selection an opportunity to impress selectors,” Aitken said
The Silver Ferns trial game open to the public will be held on Sunday 1 July at 11:00am, with doors opening at 10:30am. Tickets go on sale today at Ticketek.
