ABSTRACT FOLKSONOMY
Shen Mansell
A collection of
paintings from the last year and a half. Pure abstract,
pixel, religious iconography, general iconoclasm and
traditional land and sky scapes. Something for everyone, and
everything for a select few. Visitors will tag paintings
with post it notes describing the feelings, ideas and
reactions that they invoke.
About the Artist Shen Mansell was born in America and spent his childhood in Canada. His parents moved with him to New Zealand when he was 12, and he has lived here for the last 18 years. A career in computer programming, and a hobby of video game design and creation lead him to painting as a form of creativity that can be understood and enjoyed by all sections of the community. His art aims to allow the viewer to create a narrative, and look good on walls
