Loop takes another step into the digital era

In a strategic move to align with consumer trends Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa has reduced all retail CD prices across their entire catalogue of New Zealand music.

New releases will retail at a maximum of $29.95 and back catalogue as low as $19.95.
Loop director Mikee Tuckers says:

"Inspired by the forceful current of change in the music industry, Loop has taken the lead amongst New Zealand labels with this strategic move and we expect others to follow. We wanted to bring the physical retail price closer to the digital retail price".
In other related moves:

Loop has started a publishing and music supervision business unit for New Zealand artists in order to better service the advertising and film industries, a growth area.

Since last year Loop has direct access to worldwide iTunes stores, selling its repertoire directly to customers as far away as Japan and Europe. Loop represents other independent labels and artists for iTunes also.
