International Agent To Represent Local Designer
International Agent To Represent Local Designer
Queenstown designer Claire Brinsley will benefit from the international knowledge of a new agent who will promote her claire bloom collection in New Zealand.
Fashion agent Cathie Bryant runs her own wholesale business CB Agencies and has represented top labels such as Australia’s Lisa Ho and designer ranges Lesley Watson and Dangerfield in the past.
Bryant now lists claire bloom amongst her collection of clients.
It’s an exciting time for Brinsley who unveiled her feminine, classic range in Queenstown six months ago and recently launched in the UK through an exclusive boutique in Wales.
“I’m thrilled to have someone of Cathie Bryant’s caliber on board to represent and promote my brand,” said Brinsley.
“Cathie has a real passion for quality clothing, having bought, sold and managed a number of fashion stores. She also has an impressive network of contacts that will help to grow my brand.”
The pair met earlier this year through an associate.
Bryant began in the fashion industry as ‘girl Friday’ at Districorp Enterprises but soon worked up the ladder to become National Marketing and Sales Manager by the tender age of 20 where she represented PS by Patrick Steel and launched A.B.S. California onto the NZ and Australian market.
From there she set up CB Agencies and now represents labels such as Sydney’s Natasha Gan and Wheels and Dollbaby as well as Melbourne’s Sparrow and New Zealand’s Journey.
She also works as New Zealand Brand and Merchandising Manager for Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger watches.
“As a child, I was totally mad on fashion,” said Bryant. “My grandmother bought and sold fashion stores. I used to visit her store every week – it was like a playground for me.
“It will be a pleasure to support Claire’s timeless, pretty designs, which I have admired since she entered the New Zealand fashion market last year.”
