National Tour Replaces Miami Season
National Tour Replaces Miami Season For 10th Birthday Celebrations
Due to a number of logistical constraints Touch Compass Dance Trust will no longer tour to Miami this June. Instead the company is delighted to be working on a 2007 national tour in celebration of their 10th anniversary year.
Touch Compass were to be this year’s featured company at danceAble, as part of this year’s Florida Dance Festival, a major arts event in the South Eastern United States.
“While it is very disappointing that the tour will not go ahead this year, Touch Compass will continue to work with Tigertail Productions in Miami to make the tour happen. It is hoped that the tour will be rescheduled to include danceAble and to extend touring to include other dates in the USA, including a performance on the Millennium Stage at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - America’s National Cultural Centre” says Touch Compass CEO Jeanine Gribbin.
The 10th anniversary NZ tour itinerary is currently being finalized and will be released to the public in early June. Touch Compass Founder and Artistic director Catherine Chappell adds “The Company is proud to use the delay of this international tour as an opportunity to give more New Zealand audiences a chance to see the stunning artistry that is Touch Compass, live on stage”
