Big Wednesday Winner

Big Wednesday Winner

A lucky Big Wednesday player in Thames will be celebrating in style after winning $3.5 million worth of cash and luxury prizes in Big Wednesday First Division tonight, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning ticket was sold at Courts Take Note in Thames and has won $2 million in cash, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, an Audi Q7, a $250,000 AMEX Platinum card, $250,000 worth of luxury travel, a Rayglass legend 2500 boat and a $500,000 luxury holiday home.

"Autumn has suddenly become the ultimate season for our latest winner, who will not be feeling the winter blues at all, after winning $2 million in cash and a multitude of luxury prizes," says Mr McLeay.

Mr McLeay's advice for this week's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket, confirming their ownership.

"They should then contact NZ Lotteries' Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he says.

This is the second time that Big Wednesday First Division has been won in Thames. The largest Big Wednesday prize was $13.1 million won on a ticket sold in Thames in February last year.

A ticket sold at Waterview Superette in Waterview, Auckland won Big Wednesday's Second Chance Draw; open to all tickets bought for tonight's draw. The ticket holder has won $25,000.

The winning serial number is 597-18926084-13XX

"Anyone who bought their ticket from Waterview Superette in Waterview, Auckland should also check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.

Mr McLeay also advises that all players write their name and contact details on the back of their tickets.

There were a total of 60,095 winners from tonight's draw.
