In celebration the NZFA presents a special one-off event;

The Film Archive is not only a storehouse of artists film and video, but also publicity materials, programmes, media clippings, unpublished papers and books. Cataloguer Kathy Dudding and Documentation Manager Kristen Wineera give an overview of artists holdings in the Film Archive collection. Included in the talk are several items that shed light on the development of art practise and public exhibition in New Zealand, including the controversial opening of the Govett Brewster Art Gallery in 1970, and the development of artists film co-operative Alternative Cinema.
