Phoenix Foundation US Tour Fundraising gig

13 April, 2007

Phoenix Foundation to tour US Fundraising gig announced

Radio Active Presents: The Phoenix Foundation United States Tour Fundraiser With support from Grand Prix

The United States have beckoned and The Phoenix Foundation have answered the call. But first the intrepid Wellingtonians will play a one-off performance April 28 to farewell their fans in full noise.

After signing a two-album U.S record deal with New York based label Young American Recordings in late 2006, the six-piece band are once again off to the States in June to complete a U.S album release tour. But before leaving, The Phoenix Foundation will play a one-off show April 28 in Wellington at The San Francisco Bathhouse on Cuba St, with support from Grand Prix, to help raise funds for the expedition.

The signing of a U.S record deal followed two successful American tours in 2006 after the band began working with New York PR/ Management company Plus One earlier that year. The Phoenix Foundation's first album Horsepower will be released in the U.S on May 15, 2007 and will include exclusive bonus tracks and the Going Fishing music video.

Having spent the summer months in the studio recording their new third studio album (due for release later in 2007), catch The Phoenix Foundation live at SFBH on Sat 28 April for a one off gig to help them raise funds for their up and coming U.S release tour in June.

The Phoenix Foundation With Special Guests Grand Prix SFBH, Saturday 28 April. 8.30pm. Presales from Real Groovy. R18
