This tribute to the music of the velvet-toned Cole stars some of Wellington's hottest jazz musicians performing vibrant interpretations of the best loved Cole standards.
This dynamic show includes the romance and charm of signature melodies such as "I Love You For Sentimental Reasons", "When I Fall In Love" and "The Very Thought of You". Jazz and blues lovers will enjoy wistful and melancoly tunes like 'smile", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "Autumn Leaves". Then there's the fun and foot-tapping excellence of the Trio hits including "Hit That Jive Jack", 'straighten Up And Fly Right" and "Frim Fram Sauce".
STARRING:
Andrew London (of "Hot Club Sandwich" acclaim);
Dan Teka (whose authentic crooner style has made his "Play Me" album a hit);
April Phillips (actress and chanteuse whose ! rst album has raised over $9,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation);
James Cameron (smooth singer and bass player with "The Velox Brothers" and "HCS");
AND FEATURING critcally acclaimed musicians Norman Meehan (Piano), Lance Philip (Drums), and Nils
Olsen (Saxophone).
The calibre of performers coming together in Wellington's historic Old St Pauls will make this show "HOT." Music Lovers will not want to miss this event.
"I'm an interpreter of stories. When I perform it's like sitting down at my piano and telling fairy stories."
