Singing legend Tina Cross goes back to her South Auckland roots and talks about her amazing rise to fame in the popular series that showcases talented Maori artists, craftspeople, musicians, filmmakers and performers from throughout Aotearoa.

AL QAEDA’S NEW FRONT (INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY) – Tuesday April 10 at 8.30 PM
A chilling look from an American point-of-view at how modern technology has helped Al Qaeda evolve into smaller, more sophisticated terrorist cells who are evading the best efforts of intelligence agencies around the world.

BOIL UP – Tuesday April 10 at 10.00 PM
The show that’s fast, funny and packed with all things league is back with an all-new series. Into the pot goes chat about the week’s big games, crucial clashes, player profiles and behind-the-scenes info – in fact, everything the hungry league fan needs!

TAKATAPUI – Tuesday April 10 at 10.30 PM
The only show for gay, lesbian and transgender Maori looks at how you can protect yourself from discrimination in the work place. Interviewees include Rupene Amato, a takatapui tane who runs a branch of the out@work programme, and Joy Liddicoat, a Human Rights Commissioner.

TAUMATA KORERO (NZ DOCUMENTARY) – Wednesday April 4 at 8.30 PM
They never learned to speak reo Maori themselves but they’re the ones who made sure their children possessed the gift of this language. This inspirational documentary puts a face to the courageous people known as the Lost Tribe who fought to keep reo Maori alive for the next generation.

APOCALYPSE COW – Friday April 13 & 20 at 9.00 PM
Mad Cow Disease, the brain disease that can jump species, first cropped up in the UK in the 1980s and has spread to more than 20 countries. This two-part investigation reveals new information about the origins of the outbreak and how a cover-up and greed helped it spread worldwide.

RUGBY LEAGUE NATIONAL PREMIERSHIP – Saturday & Sunday April 14-15 at 2.00 PM
The home of New Zealand rugby league launches a spectacular season of local league with free-to-air matches not once but twice a week! Kicking off the season is the Waitakere Rangers versus the Canterbury Bulls live on Saturday; followed by delayed coverage of the National 16s final on Sunday.

TU TE PUEHU – Saturday April 14 at 5.00 PM
The kids who will be climbing onto the Olympic podium in years to come get a chance to shine early in this action-packed bilingual sports show that profiles up-and-coming young athletes as well as established stars.

THE RIVER (SUNDAY FEATURE) – Sunday April 15 at 9.00 PM
A desperate young woman stands on a river bank with her child in her arms, about to take her own life in the icy waters. When two teenagers save her, it sets into motion five interwoven stories that delve deep beneath the surface of life in a small Finnish industrial town.
