A compilation of urbantramper’s albums was the bonus CD on the June ‘06’ Low Hum tour. The recent ‘urbantramper’ single ‘shitty flat’ reached number 2 on the Kiwi Fm top 10, and the new single ‘sunsets on the empty carnival’ has just been released . WHAT THEY’VE SAID:
"it's clear that this album is something pretty special, reminiscent of Gramsci and Age Pryor but going beyond both of these to plumb new depths of echoing instrumental layers. Urban Tramper's music is both mournful and joyous. It is homemade yet polished." - NZ Musician ( NZ music magazine)
"Like a mellow Beck crossed with radiohead, yet totally original in the trampers own distinctive voice, this is a hell of a lot more pleasing to listen to then any of those cheesy "lazy sunday" compilations.
beautiful.
Singer/songwriters take note." Blink (a low hum)
“urbantramper’s live performance is, aurally speaking, very similar to his recorded music…the audience certainly liked it and got into all he had to offer, joining him onstage and dancing freely to his almost-spiritual melodic beats…urbantramper’s determination and self-belief, coupled with his proven musicianship, make him a name to watch” –the Package (Wgtn/chch street mag)
