A lucky player who purchased their ticket in Papakura in Auckland will be dancing the ultimate Irish jig this St Patrick's Day after winning more than $2.6 million worth of cash and luxury prizes in Big Wednesday First Division tonight, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The winning ticket was sold at Pharmacy Plus Papakura in Auckland and has won $2 million in cash, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, an Audi Q7 and an Amex Platinum Card loaded up with $250,000.
Big Wednesday First Division was last struck was just two weeks ago by a player who purchased their ticket at Merrilands Lotto and Post in New Plymouth. That winning ticket was worth nearly $3.5 million.
Mr McLeay's advice for tonight's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket, confirming their ownership.
"They should then contact NZ Lotteries' Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he says.
A ticket sold at Coastlands Lotto in Paraparaumu won Big Wednesday's second chance draw, open to all tickets bought for tonight's draw. The ticket holder has won an Audi A4 Cabriolet.
The winning serial number is 556-27411714-13XX.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from Pharmacy Plus Papakura or Coastlands Lotto should also check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.
