Miss Universe New Zealand release public voting on their official website
Auckland, New Zealand, 1 March 2007: The search for Miss Universe New Zealand 2007 is on and this year the public can
have their say in who should represent our country internationally.From this year's 24 contestants the winner will
depart New Zealand on April 29 to go on to the Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico City May 28th 2007.
Your vote can help the judges make a decision.
Newly appointed National Director, Val Lott, re-launched Miss Universe New Zealand in March 2006 after an absence of
five years. The world's best-known beauty pageant has enjoyed considerable exposure in New Zealand over many years and
is an annual tradition with countless young women around the world vying to become Miss Universe.
In the words of Donald Trump, founder of the Miss Universe Organization; "Miss Universe is about finding the most
beautiful girl in the world, it is a company that provides smart, beautiful, ambitious women with once-in-a-lifetime
opportunities in mentoring, career training, resources and life experiences."
The chosen charity of this year's pageant is "Look Good Feel Better". This charity, endorsed by the Cancer Society of
New Zealand and proudly assisted by the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association of New Zealand (CTFA) , is a free
service offered to women undergoing treatment for cancer. Their aim is to help restore and enhance the appearance of
cancer patients both during and after treatment. Miss Universe NZ 2007 aims to make a difference in the lives of people
who really need it.
NZ director for Miss Universe, Val Lott says; "We are creating role models for young girls today with this pageant." The
pageant already attracts wide support in sponsorship and she aims to raise public awareness by making the public a part
of the process in the voting. "By raising public awareness we will attract more entries next year including support from
the whole of New Zealand."

www.missuniversenz.co.nz . Vote as many times as you wish. Voting closes at 4.00pm on March 31st 2007.
Miss Universe New Zealand will be held at the Langham Hotel in Auckland on March 31 2007, commencing with a formal
dinner.
