$15,000 New Year Luck For Sixteen Lotto Second Division Winners

Sixteen Lotto players have started the new year with luck on their side after each winning $15,714 in Lotto Second Division on the weekend, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The weekend's winning Second Division tickets were sold in Whangarei, Auckland (4), Rotorua, Cambridge, Napier (3), Wellington, Motueka, Greymouth, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.

"Our 16 Second Division winners must be feeling pretty lucky after winning such a handy sum. What a fantastic start to 2007," said Mr McLeay.

The Second Division winning tickets were purchased at the following stores:

West City Lotto, Auckland
Royal Heights Dairy & Lotto, Auckland
Swanson Lotto, Auckland
Wayne's Lucky Lotto, Cambridge

Unichem Marewa Pharmacy, Napier
Napier City Pak N Save, Napier
Andrew Spence Pharmacy, Napier
Manners Mags & Lotto, Wellington
Fresh Choice Motueka, Motueka
Greymouth New World, Greymouth
Inkworks Riccarton, Christchurch
Mcgregors Lotto Shop, Dunedin
Collingwood Foodcentre, Invercargill

One very lucky Second Division winner, who purchased their ticket at Manners Mags & Lotto in Wellington, also won Powerball Second Division adding a further $30,344 to their prize, bringing the total to $46,058.

"Players who have purchased their tickets in any of the above outlets should get their tickets checked," says Mr McLeay.

He also recommends that all players write their name and address on the back of their ticket.
