$3 Million For Big Wednesday Winner

$3 Million For Big Wednesday Winner

The summer sun is shining brighter on the latest Big Wednesday First Division winner from Takapuna who takes home $3 million in cash and luxury prizes, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The lucky player, who purchased their ticket in Magascene, Takapuna has won $2 million cash plus a Range Rover, a Porsche, $50,000 worth of luxury travel every year for five years, a $250,000 American Express Platinum card and a Mustang luxury launch.

"This is a great start to the Kiwi summer for the winner, who can now enjoy summer anywhere in the world thanks to winning the ultimate lifestyle," says Mr McLeay.

Tonight's win is the ninth time Big Wednesday's top prize has been won since the game started in October 2005.

"Last month, a player who purchased their Big Wednesday ticket at Thorndon New World in Wellington walked away with a Big Wednesday First Division prize worth $12.6 million in cash and luxury prizes, the second largest prize ever won on Big Wednesday," says Mr McLeay.

"It just goes to show that this is an unpredictable game that can go at anytime," said Mr McLeay.

Mr McLeay's advice for this week's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket, confirming their ownership.

"They should then contact NZ Lotteries Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he said.

A ticket sold at Foodtown Sylvia Park in Mount Wellington, won Big Wednesday's second chance draw, open to all tickets bought for tonight's draw. The ticket holder has won a Mercedes Benz C230.

The winning serial number is 458-35060482-13XX

"Anyone who bought their ticket from Magascene in Takapuna or Foodtown Sylvia Park in Mount Wellington, Auckland should check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.
