What’s your finish line?
Whether you’re a new mum wanting a fitness goal, someone new to triathlon, or an upcoming age grouper hoping to be the next Bevan Docherty, everyone has their own finish line.
Contact Energy has teamed up with the national governing body, Triathlon New Zealand, to create New Zealand’s first ever national triathlon series. The series will cover nine race events across New Zealand until March next year.
As part of the sponsorship, Contact has created a special website www.myfinishline.co.nz which contains smart tools designed by Triathlon New Zealand which enable triathletes from all levels to design their own personalised training programmes. The personalised programmes are based on people’s fitness levels and the time they have to train leading up to their event date.
The site also contains comprehensive training tips from Triathlon New Zealand on the all-important swim, bike, run and transition disciplines and an exclusive diary from New Zealand triathlon legend, Bevan Docherty.
Contact Energy Communications Manager, Jonathan Hill, said www.myfinishline.co.nz was designed to support and encourage participation in triathlon.
“Triathlon is New Zealand’s fastest growing sport and, alongside sponsoring the national triathlon series and leading triathlete Bevan Docherty, we want to assist all New Zealanders in reaching their individual training goals and finish lines – whatever they might be,” he said.
“The site will be of real value not only to current triathletes, but to those thinking about getting involved and competing in a triathlon for the first time.”
www.myfinishline.co.nz also offers discounts to Contact’s customers competing in the events, details on the Contact Energy National Triathlon Series, and the opportunity to win a full training day with Bevan Docherty.
Check out www.myfinishline.co.nz and get inspired for a new year fitness goal.
