Featuring 150,000 lights and an enchanted forest of dazzling trees, Christmas Wonderland is one festive event not to be missed.
This spectacular, magical indoor tree display has transported more than 20,000 people into a world of Christmas make believe since it began three years ago and this year it promises to be bigger than ever.
The stunning display of lavishly dressed Christmas trees, illuminated with thousands of lights and decorations will leave you amazed.
Also for your enjoyment there will be refreshments, carols and entertainment plus craft and homemade baking.
Due to increasing public demand, organisers have decided to extend the opening of this visually breath-taking display. It will now run from November 23-25 and again from November 30 t December 2. Opening hours are 12 noon to midnight.
"The Christmas Wonderland team has created the ultimate festive experience for all New Zealanders to enjoy."
It has been created at the Rawene Centre on Auckland's North Shore -- a community facility, used by hundreds of people every week.
Centre manager Arlene Tyler explains that the magical display is created annually by a team of four women designers, assisted by hundreds of volunteers.
“The idea started with Christmas House Tours, raising funds for the Rawene Centre,” Arlene says. “That grew into the idea of a tree exhibition at the centre so that people could see the trees at the same time as see the facility that we were raising funds for.”
All proceeds from Christmas Wonderland go back into the Centre for the development of its facilities, projects and programmes.
Absolutely Stunning! Not to be Missed!
