NZ Idols Vow To Jump Off Sky Tower
With the big final on Sunday looming, NZ Idol finalists Matt and Indira have vowed to leap from Auckland’s Sky Tower!
Indira Moala (21) from Glen Eden, Auckland and Matt Saunoa (21) from Levin, will put their nerves to the test at 11.30am on Saturday, when they do the Sky Jump, New Zealand’s highest jump (192m).
Indira and Matt will join over 40,000 jumpers to have taken the plunge since Sky Jump opened in December 2001. Other famous jumpers over the years have included Tom Cruise, Billy Connolly, Christina Applegate, Lucy Lawless, Rove McManus and the Prince of Jordon.
Fans of the two Idols are invited to gather at the base of the Sky Tower to cheer on their heroes as they take the jump.
Then on Sunday 29 October at 7.30pm on TV2 the top two Idols will be joined in the Grand Final by this year's other top 10 contestants to perform a range of songs in a star-studded, two hour special at the Auckland's St James Theatre, culminating in host Dominic Bowden revealing who New Zealand has voted to be this year's NZ Idol.
