More than meets the eye: debut novel launch at the Central City Library

Auckland City Libraries invites you to attend the launch of author Yvette Adams’ debut self-published novel at the Central City Library on 13 September.

Adams’ novel “More Than Meets the Eye – the True Story of the Best Blind Wrestler the World Has Ever Seen”, is a moving and fascinating tribute to her blind grandfather Bill Adams whose sight disability did not prevent him becoming one of the best wrestlers in New Zealand history.

Adams’ novel will be available at bookstores throughout New Zealand and has been selected to be translated into audio and Braille formats to help inspire blind audiences. One dollar of every sale of More Than Meets The Eye in New Zealand will be donated to The Fred Hollows Foundation, an organisation which aims to eliminate avoidable blindness in developing countries.
