Players of the future to learn from stars

Players of the future to learn from stars at MILO Netball Discovery Days

Over 1800 young netballers will have the chance to improve their skills and learn from the best at twelve MILO Netball Discovery Days to be held around New Zealand during August.

MILO Netball Discovery Days are designed to help players aged 11 to 13 improve their skills and learn about key aspects of the game. Activities are interactive, with a focus on participation, and will cover a wide variety of netball skills.

A Silver Fern will take part in each of the MILO Netball Discovery Days to share netball tips and get involved in the activities, giving players a chance to meet their netball heroes.

MILO Marketing Manager Maree Glading says that MILO is committed to encouraging young New Zealanders to participate in sport.

“We’re delighted to be supporting the MILO Netball Discovery Days for the fourth year, giving young netball fans the chance to meet a Silver Fern and to get involved in netball,” she said.

Netball New Zealand’s Game Development Manager Kate Agnew says that MILO Netball Discovery Days are excellent opportunities for young players to improve their game, and for others to be introduced to the sport.

“It’s vital for the future of netball that young players from around New Zealand have the opportunity to develop their skills and we’re very glad that we can provide opportunities for this to happen through the MILO Netball Discovery Days,” she said.
