Maori Television Sports Show Scores The Big 50!
Maori Television’s top-rating sports show CODE is proud to celebrate its 50th birthday this week (Thursday July 6 2006 at 8.30 PM)
Hosts Tawera Nikau, Jenny May Coffin, Matua Parkinson, Glen Osborne and Richie Barnett mark this milestone with a special episode, including highlights from previous shows.
Special guests joining the celebration include Warrior Awen Guttenbeil, Tall Blacks coach Tab Baldwin, and Tall Blacks captain Pero Cameron.
“It’s been an honour to be involved in CODE from the beginning,” says Tawera. “I’m amazed at how it’s gained in popularity with every episode. They’re an awesome crew to work with.”
Jenny May says CODE is proof Maori Television makes quality shows with a dedicated following.
‘CODE is as good as any sports show around the world,” she says. “Here’s to many more shows. Mean Maori Mean!”
