Cori Gonzalez-Macuer: The Neverending Cori

Cori Gonzalez-Macuer presents
The Neverending Cori

After last years hit sell-out show, I Love David Hasselhoff, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer is back with yet another serving of his unique comedy style for this year’s ODDFELLOWS NZ International Comedy Festival. Cori was an ODDFELLOWS Billy T Award Nominee last year and has kept his good form alive to be rewarded with another ODDFELLOWS Billy T nomination in 2006 where he will debut his brand new show The Neverending Cori which will follow the life and times of Wellington’s 2005 Comedian of the Year through stand-up, short films and music.

After winning the prestigious Raw Comedy Quest in 2003 after only 5 gigs, Cori has established himself as one of the country’s best young comedians having toured all over New Zealand and more recently, taken over as director of The Wellington Comedy Club at the age of 23.

As well as comedy, Cori is also an accomplished actor and has appeared on the local TV series The Insider’s Guide to Happiness, Australian series Holly’s Heroes and will be seen this year as Marco in TVNZ’s upcoming drama, The Lost Children. In 2004 and 2005 he worked on Peter Jackson’s King Kong as Academy Award winner Adrien Brody’s body double. Later this year he will make his proper film debut on the big screen where he will be seen as Mark in Academy Award Nominee Taika Waititi’s feature film, Eagle VS Shark.

The Neverending Cori promises to be a refreshing take on life, love and depression as seen through Cori’s cynical and sarcastic mind. Remember, just because he rocks, it doesn’t mean he is made of stone.
