After spending the last six months in Tibet teaching the monks to ‘spree engrish’, The 4 Noels are back in Wellington with their 2006 comedy sensation – PRIMITIVE. Wellington audiences can look forward to a riotous journey, chock full of brilliantly worked sketches, physical routines, musical numbers, and a horde of hilarious characters.

THE 4 NOELS have received five star reviews and performed to sell-out audiences all over the world - from the Edinburgh Fringe to the Sydney Opera House, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to the Adelaide Fringe, and throughout Australia and NZ. Their distinctive style combines physical comedy, music, performance genres, mime and twisted characters into fast paced hilarious performances.

THE 4 NOELS first burst into the spotlight in 1999 with their Moosehead Award winning show THE MAGNIFICANT SEVENTEEN, a madcap roller coaster through the Wild West. This show won the Best Comedy Award at the 1999 Wellington Fringe and was nominated for the Stella Award for Best Comedy at the Melbourne Comedy Festival before going on to a sellout season and five star reviews at the Edinburgh International Festival in the same year.

In 2000, THE 4 NOELS followed up this success with DOOM RIDERS - a goth horror musical that played to full houses and critical acclaim at Sydney’s Belvoir Street Theatre, The Adelaide Fringe, NZ Laugh and Melbourne Comedy Festivals. Following this A NIGHT AT FAT WILLY’S premiered at the 2002 Melbourne Comedy Festival. The show was a huge hit and The 4 Noels were once again nominated for Best Show of the Festival. In 2003 The Noels presented their stunning new show THE LOST CITY OF ARGOS in the NZ International Comedy Festival. In 2005 THE LOST CITY OF ARGOS had an outstanding season at Downstage Theatre.

The boys are fast gaining the attention of the media with appearances on the BBC, the comedy channel, Network Ten, Triple J Breakfast Show and they are weekly guests on ABC Radio. Their short film Busting, with a score composed by the Blue Grassy Knoll was a Dendy Award finalist and has screened at the 2000 World Expo in Hamburg, the Sydney Film Festival and the Comedy Channel Film Festival in Melbourne and was broadcast by SBS TV in 2002.
