Top-notch line up for lunchtime concerts

Looking for something to do at lunchtime? Prepare to be entertained over a soup lunch by a top-notch line up at The
PumpHouse in Takapuna.
The popular Lunchtime Concert Series promises a mix of entertainment from bluegrass and Celtic tunes to the sounds of
South America and jazzy Christmas carols.
North Shore City Council's community liaison manager, Lisa Tocker, says the long-standing series is always popular.
"At $10 for Friends of The PumpHouse and $12 for others and acts of this calibre, it's hard to beat," she says.
Next up on June 26 is Blueberry Jam, with fast and furious instrumentals and fiddle tunes - and three band members with
a great sense of fun.
On August 4, Celtic band Twisty Willow takes to the stage for a sing along with traditional and contemporary songs, soft
ballads, lively jigs, reels, polkas and hornpipes.
Sol De Los Andes brings the sounds of South America to The PumpHouse on October 20. The high-energy band combines the
pan flute, mandolin, guitar and vocals.
The Jazzin' Jingle Bells Trio brings the series to a close on December 8, at 5pm rather than lunchtime. Maria O'Flaherty
on vocals, Pete France on sax and Anthony Hunt on piano will play all the Christmas favourites.
