Presentation of the Valencia Louis Vuitton Acts Trophy

Valencia, April 20th 2006 - The 32nd America's Cup has presented the Valencia Louis Vuitton Acts 2006 Trophy, at the opening of the "Mariscal. Narrador de Imágenes" (Mariscal. Narrator of images) exhibition, inaugurated today April 20th at the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno (IVAM) the Valencian Institute of Modern Art.

Javier Mariscal, the creator of the 32nd America's Cup visual identity, will exhibit the work he has developed since 2005 up until the 16th of July, including last season's trophy won by the Defender Alinghi.

For 2006, the artist has created a trophy in aluminium, formed by four sails. The first three sails correspond to the Valencia Louis Vuitton Acts 2006 and the last one is the trophy that will be granted to the winner of the 2006 Louis Vuitton ACC Season Championship.

This new creation by the Valencian artist is a surprising design. The bursting originality of the 2005 trophy is exceeded by his latest work, which will be shown in 2006 and 2007 through all the visual applications he has developed for the 32nd America's Cup.

Only 21 days to go before the 2006 season kick-off, with the Louis Vuitton Acts 10 and 11 that will take place in Valencia between May 11th and 21st .

In 2007, a fleet race event - Louis Vuitton Act 13 - will precede the Louis Vuitton Cup, the winner of which will then race the Defender, Team Alinghi, in the America's Cup Match in Valencia
