The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes & Arthur Conan Doyle - Everybody knows the name Sherlock Holmes - or they think they do. But few know the true story of Conan Doyle's remarkable life and fewer still the extent to which Doyle suppressed and sanitised the pain of Holmes' birth. Inspired by J B Priestley's An Inspector Calls and The Sixth Sense, our tale is set between 1892 and 1899.

Murder Rooms - Set against the backdrop of the dark and often bloody nineteenth century, each drama tells the tale of the real Sherlock Holmes, Joseph Bell. Each film draws us into an intricate and compelling web of suspense and intrigue, as well as offering a fascinating insight into a friendship that would eventually give rise to one of the most famous and enduring literary detectives of them all.

The Hound of the Baskervilles - The Baskerville family is cursed. Sir Charles Baskerville has lived an obsessive fear of a family legend in which a spectral hound wreaks vengeance on his ancestors. His death seems innocent enough but Mortimer, his friend and physician, is uneasy and suspicious. There is evidence of a desperate dash for safety. Much worse, the distinct footprint of a gigantic hound close to the corpse sends Mortimer to perhaps the most famous address in fiction: 221b Baker Street.

Midsomer Murders - The cosy villages of Midsomer County reveal their most sinister secrets in these darkly humorous British television mysteries. John Nettles stars as the unflappable Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby with Daniel Casey as Sergeant Troy, his brash young assistant.

Based on the novels by Caroline Graham, a modern master of the English village mystery. The Mysteries: Death's Shadow - A string of bizarre murders in Badgers Drift leads to the discovery of a long buried secret; Strangler's Wood-The strangling of a beautiful Brazilian, whose body is found in Raven's Wood, harks back to three earlier murders; Blood Will Out - Rival clans of travellers disrupt the peace of Martyr Warren and incense the local magistrate; and Beyond the Grave - Unearthly happenings in and around the Aspern Tallow museum create an atmosphere of terror.

A Touch of Frost - David Jason here stars as Det.Ins. 'Jack' Frost based on the series of books by R.D Wingfield. The stories are set around and near the fictitious town of Denton, which seems to be full of unpleasant people. Frost aided by D.S George Toulan and most of the police station, hunt down the towns seemingly endless scumbags.

Frost in particular seems a very lonely man, who has only one drive in life - his work. He has a disastrous love life, He's so preoccupied by his cases that he doesn't have a lot of time for the woman in his life.
